<div>Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started performing at college shows between 2011 and 2014, and those were the years when I really discovered what being on stage meant to me — not just singing songs, but creating a connection with people.</div><div>After completing my Engineering degree in Pune, I moved to Mumbai to chase my dream of making music,&nbsp;</div><div>so in 2018–19, I completed a Diploma in Music Composition &amp; Music Production from The True School of Music and also pursued formal vocal training with Shankar Mahadevan Academy.</div><div>In 2018, I got my first professional break as a songwriter with Zee Music Company.</div><div>In 2021, I released my debut independent single, “Saansein.” Since then, I’ve continued writing, composing, producing and releasing my own music, with songs including “Beparwaah,” “Dhoondhta Phiran,” “Dhoondhta Phiran (Afro Mix),” “Milna Toh Tha,” “Saansein Revisited (Acoustic),” “Dhoondhta Phiran (Acoustic),” “Itni Si Baat Hai,” and “Tu Hi Bata De.”&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>One of the biggest milestones in this journey has been “Dhoondhta Phiran,” which has crossed 100K+ Spotify streams, while my Spotify audience has grown to 25K+ monthly listeners.&nbsp;</div><div>That led to the creation of my Sufi live IP, “Mehfil-E-Alish,” built around intimate, soulful Sufi music and a strong connection with the audience. I also created “Alish.Live,” my Indie live IP, bringing together Indie, contemporary sounds and the energetic, interactive side of my performances.</div><div>My live shows are a mix of Sufi Rock, Indie and Bollywood, but what matters most to me is the connection. I’m not someone who likes to stay behind a microphone and simply perform at people.</div><div>From college stages in 2011 to building my own music and live IPs today, the journey has changed a lot — but the reason I started is still the same.</div><div>I just wanted to make music, get on stage and make people feel something.</div><div>— Alish Memon</div>
